Valle San Martino, a hilltop Italian village in Umbria is a delight. I attempted to paint my feelings rather than exact architectural details. Every time I look at this painting I am transported to the day my workshop participants and I walked up and down those ancient cobblestoned streets, marveling at the beauty we can still enjoy so many hundreds of years later.
