Message
The textural background of this piece was created using a modeling paste and grid-like stencil. The majority of the color was laid down using a palette knife rather than a paintbrush and marks were made using graphite, china marker and oil pastel.
Come Away is inspired by nature and its ability to captivate and stir us. A palette of deep blues and greens lend themselves to the feeling of being immersed in a forest, while vibrant yellows and oranges speak of the exciting adventure that awaits there. Come Away is an escape into the gateway of the imagination and invites feelings of wonder and joyful anticipation.
