The Highland Tiger or Scottish Wildcat has a place very close to my heart. Critically endangered due to habitat loss and human encroachment these wild felines need our help to ensure their survival.
My mother's maiden name is McIntosh from the Highlands of Scotland and so our clan motto is "Ne'r touch the cat bot (without) a glove!" and the emblem a Scottish Wildcat. So it goes without saying that to me it is imperitive that we do everything we can to ensure they continue to roam wild and free in the Highlands of Scotland.
I loved drawing this piece, he is clearly intently focused on something in the distance, I leave it to your imagination to decide who or what he is staring at with such determination! Working with Polychromos pencils on white cartridge paper this piece is the 15th in my Wild Britain collection.
Available as an original piece, sinterix A4 prints, greetings cards and postcards, you can bring this magical and wild energy into your world too.
As with all my work 10% minimum will be donated from all my sales of this piece to Saving Wildcats charity, who are captive breeding for release pure blood Wildcats, as a last attempt to keep them alive and wild.
