These large, charismatic Woodpeckers visit our garden, searching for their favourite food, ants. Bigger than the Great Spotted Woodpecker, they are always such a thrill to watch and photograph.

Their wisdom is all in their amazing drumming on the trees, bringing in the new vibrations and energy in partnership with the tree. They are always such a positive symbol of learning to go with the changes that show up in our lives and learning to be adaptive and to move with the change rather than resist it. I love this image of the Green Woodpecker on the beautiful Silver Birch tree at the bottom of our garden. Hope you do too!
