The energy of the sun glittering on the spindrift spray of the water is captured in this piece. Some of the paint has a metallic lustre which gives it the feeling of a really bright day. I applied the paint in layers, then scraped it back in places to add texture and reveal colours from underneath.

Acrylic on gallery-depth canvas. Painted on the sides so no frame is needed. Finished all over with a clear acrylic varnish to protect from fading, dust and UV light.
