Skating Time

Location inspiration: Mud Lake, Ottawa, Ontario

When our neighbourhood lake freezes before the snow falls we get the gift of a perfect outdoor skating spot. So I don my figure skates—just like I did when I was young. This painting comes from the feeling of freedom and joy that skating brings. Look at the painting details to see the blade marks on the ice.

'Skating Time' is currently on display at MPP Chandra Pasma's Community Office in Ottawa. It has also been featured as the holiday greeting image for CARFAC Maritimes.
