JOURNEY was featured in the SAQA (Studio Art Quilt Associates) Atlantic Canada 'Commotion' exhibit, which toured to public galleries in NB and NS from 2021-2023.

My journey as an artist has been navigated through many pathways and different forms of creative expression, including dance, modern quilt design, textile art and painting. This tactile piece represents that journey and was created at a juncture when painting and textile art came together for me. It was painted on raw canvas, then layered and stitched by both hand and machine. It would look fabulous warming up a modern space.

It hangs from a piece of rebar inserted in a casing with the bar extending a bit out the sides (hanging rings included). The bottom is weighted with a flat metal bar invisibly enclosed in a casing on the back.
