1. Entangled Series

As a classically trained fine artist, I threw caution to the wind and created a new series filled with tension called "Entangled". Entangled is mixed media artwork that incorporates up-cycled fabrics on custom frames of various sizes and shapes to create a uniquely original series of wall sculptures that add color, dimension, and visually compelling tension to any environment. I like to provoke the eye and incite discussion. "It is a hard matter to enjoy the world without becoming entangled with the cares and pleasures of it." Thomas Manton

2. One with Nature

Rediscovering a oneness with nature is the foundation of this series. The natural inner-most desire to abandon worldly things, shed conventional ties, and become absorbed into the natural world is sometimes the most human part of us. Nature is the greatest place to heal and recharge. "If you truly love nature, you will find beauty everywhere." Vincent Van Gogh

3. Dia de los Muertos

The Day of the Dead, or Día de los Muertos, is a vibrant and significant cultural celebration observed in Mexico on November 1st and 2nd, coinciding with the Catholic observances of All Saints Day. One primary influence of the Día de los Muertos on Mexican art manifests through the use of skulls and skeletons. These motifs have transitioned from macabre symbols into joyous representations of life. Artists often depict skeletons engaging in everyday activities reflecting 21st-century life, from swimming to dancing to enjoying a night out with family. The whimsical portrayals convey a message: death is a part of life, and the celebration of the deceased should embody happiness rather than sorrow.
