This painting was made slowly, without trying to arrive anywhere. I follow colour, line, and texture as they shift, allowing space to open where it needs to. When the work resists, I stop and wait rather than force it.
Lines break and rejoin. Colours deepen, fade, and hold their ground. Forms rise and dissolve until the painting settles into itself.
The finished work offers a steady presence — something to rest with rather than analyse. It holds a quiet clarity that can create an unexpected moment of recognition: a sense of being contained, of standing inside something calm, and remembering that stillness is not empty, but full.
