Delft Blauw Reimagined

Contemporary Explorations
This collection pays tribute to the timeless elegance of Delft Blauw while reinterpreting its patterns through a distinctly modern lens. In these works, Peter Jooren weaves the familiar motifs of traditional Dutch blue-and-white ceramics- floral elements, ornamental boarders, and symmetrical designs- into contemporary compositions that challenge and expand their original context.  Delft Blauw Reimagined invites viewers to see a classic tradition not as fixed in the past, but as a living form- adaptable, expressive, and endlessly inspiring.

The Cow Collection

Quiet Icons in Painted Form
Peter Jooren's Cow Collection captures the unexpected beauty and quiet presence of a subject he returned to throughout his life. He was consistently drawn to cows for their strong form, calm demeanor, and decorative qualities. In this collection, cows appear in a variety of moods and settings- some rendered in expressive brushstrokes, others with striking realism. Whether standing in fields or framed by abstract color, each one reflects Jooren's deep attention to form, light and presence.
These works reveal the artist's ability to find quiet beauty in the everyday- elevating a familiar subject into something timeless and meditative.

Composite Portraits

Multiplicity, Expression and the Human Image
The Composite Portraits series stands as a defining example of Peter Jooren's distinctive artistic style- layered, expressive and deeply human. Each painting in the collection contains multiple portraits brought together on a single surface. Arranged in grids, clusters, or floating compositions, the faces vary in age, mood, style and intensity. Together they form a collective image that feels both personal and universal.

Untitled Faces

Studies in Character and Style
This collection brings together a series of portraits that explore the human face through a range of styles, moods, and compositions. From finely detailed realism to abstract and surreal interpretations, Untitled Faces showcases Peter Jooren's fascination with expression, identity, and form.
Each work stands on its own, yet together they reveal a consistent thread: a curiosity about the inner world of the subject, conveyed through subtle gestures, shifting palettes, and inventive framing. Whether anonymous or imagined, these faces are less about likeness and more about presence- portraits that feel both intimate and open to interpretation.

Views of Dordrecht

Tradition Revisited Through Memory and Brushwork
Peter Jooren's View of Dordrecht reflects a deeply personal collection to his birthplace and hometown- the oldest city in Holland, know for its canals, rooftops, and historic architecture. Drawing on his classical art academy training, Jooren blends traditional techniques with expressive brushwork to capture the city from memory. These works combine the structure of Dutch Golden Age painting with a softer, more abstract sensibility- offering timeless impressions of a city shaped by history, water and light.

Patchwork

Fragments, Patterns, and Painted Rhythm
In the Patchwork collection, Peter Jooren explores composition through repetition, texture, and layered form. These works are built from visual fragments- blocks of color, hand-drawn patterns, architectural elements, and symbols- that come together like a quilt, both structured and spontaneous.
Pulling from his background in design and his love for surface detail, Jooren creates rhythm and balance through contrast: organic lines meet rigid grids, soft washes play against bold shapes. The result is a series of works that feel constructed yet expressive, mathematical yet human.
