Views of Dordrecht

Tradition Revisited Through Memory and Brushwork
Peter Jooren's View of Dordrecht reflects a deeply personal collection to his birthplace and hometown- the oldest city in Holland, know for its canals, rooftops, and historic architecture. Drawing on his classical art academy training, Jooren blends traditional techniques with expressive brushwork to capture the city from memory. These works combine the structure of Dutch Golden Age painting with a softer, more abstract sensibility- offering timeless impressions of a city shaped by history, water and light.

The Cow Collection

Quiet Icons in Painted Form
Peter Jooren's Cow Collection captures the unexpected beauty and quiet presence of a subject he returned to throughout his life. He was consistently drawn to cows for their strong form, calm demeanor, and decorative qualities. In this collection, cows appear in a variety of moods and settings- some rendered in expressive brushstrokes, others with striking realism. Whether standing in fields or framed by abstract color, each one reflects Jooren's deep attention to form, light and presence.
These works reveal the artist's ability to find quiet beauty in the everyday- elevating a familiar subject into something timeless and meditative.
