Painting: Oil on Canvas.
Oil on linen version of a pastel I did last year. I was really curious to see the difference that size and medium can make to an image. It's part of my Monoliths series, which addresses an awareness of our deepest perceptions of our surroundings. This is titled "Anger" 16" x 29" and the 2" x 5" pastel is titled "Three Kings".
It represents how we can perceive leaders at times of crisis, with the triangles loosely based on the Great Pyramid complex in Egypt. It also addresses how anger can fester inside us and make us ill, mentally and physically. Anger in a society can fester as well, until it reaches a boiling point.
