My love of the arts began when I was five years old.   My mother recognized my talent and enrolled me in the Tampa Art Institute which has since merged with the Tampa Museum of Art. I can still picture myself having the best time sitting at the long table and creating my works of art.

I always had a pencil and paper in hand and continued to draw through my elementary school years.  As I moved on through junior high, senior high and college I furthered my art education learning new skills in pen and ink, watercolor and oils with a focus on realism and impressionism.   I was particularly captivated with faces and figures, often replicating from photos or drawing people as they went about their day-to-day activities. Not many pieces remain from this period as they were either given away or destroyed due to flooding from one of the many hurricanes in Florida.    

After a number of years working in Information Technology at various firms and consulting agencies, I was finally provided the opportunity to realize my dream of becoming a full-time artist.  At the same time, I decided to change my artistic style to abstract and use acrylic as my main medium. Since abstract painting is a huge shift from realism and impressionism, I enrolled at Boca Raton Museum Art School to gain the basis skills required to pursue this genre.  

Since pursing abstract art my work has been recognized and awarded on an international level which provided further confirmation to me that I am finally on the right path.
