Mystic Pattern is a mixed media work on paper that explores the tension between organic flow and structural imprint. Created with acrylic, watercolor, ink sticks, dye, and gouache, the composition unfolds as a layered terrain of stain, grid, and radiant form.
A saturated field of magenta and rose anchors the surface, dissolving into passages of pale green, slate blue, and warm ochre. Organic washes bloom and bleed unpredictably, while deliberate grid marks and dotted impressions interrupt the fluidity. These gestures reference woven structure and stitch memory without becoming literal.
A subtle golden radiating motif stabilizes the center before dissolving into atmospheric layers. A pale vertical passage along the right edge creates spatial contrast, reinforcing the push between containment and expansion.
In Mystic Pattern, abstraction becomes a translation of textile logic into paint — where pattern emerges intuitively, as memory rather than design.
