The Hezekiah Alexander Homesite, built in 1774, is the oldest house in Mecklenburg County, NC. This log-cabin cottage kitchen is next to the garden. It is a great place to visit! The painting is donated to The Charlotte Museum of History fundraiser by the Mecklenburg Chapter, NSDAR. The money will be used to restore the kitchen house so it can be continued to be used for tours and education.
