After the announcement of the DAR American Heritage Competition theme for 2021, ‘Rise and Shine Your Light on Your Revolutionary Patriot’, I decided to create a painting of the life of Patriot Edward Carter. I had to do a lot of research in order to document his Patriot Path in watercolor.
