Cool Under Fire explores the tension and harmony between warmth and contrast. The painting highlights the rich red tones of the building and covered patio, while the turquoise scooter introduces a cool, playful counterpoint. I was interested in how color can shape mood and create energy within an ordinary scene.
The scooter feels poised and ready, like a quiet moment before movement. Set against the glowing reds and deep shadows of the patio, it becomes both an object and a focal point — a burst of calm color within a space charged with warmth. Through this work, I wanted to celebrate the dialogue between red and blue, stillness and motion, and the subtle drama found in everyday places.
