Bouquet Study with Orange is a still life about freshness—how a simple arrangement can brighten a space and shift the mood of a room. I was drawn to the bouquet for its variety of color, shape, and texture: soft petals against sharper leaves, warm hues beside cooler notes, and lively marks layered into the bouquet’s changing silhouette.
The tall glass vase lets light move through the stems and water, adding clarity and quiet structure to the composition. Beside it, the orange brings a concentrated burst of warmth—an accent that heightens the painting’s brightness and reinforces the sense of immediacy and life.
Through this piece, I wanted to celebrate small, everyday beauty: a moment of color and light arranged on a tabletop, offering a lift of energy and calm at the same time.
