The Forest Floor was created over a 3 year period, casting each piece in iron and then creating a wooden base. The Forest Floor depicts details of the forest that one sees as one walks in the woods, from leaves to acorns, mushrooms and twigs, a small baby fox napping among the pinecones, an antler shed or a whirley gig all part of the now forest floor. My favorite part is when observers find an object, the longer you look the more you see.
