A circle of twelve lights describes the moon and it’s phases. Each of the lights represents a month in the year, and each light on the frame is rotated a certain degree from the next one. The yellow lights are facing directly toward the viewer and the darker lights away (ie. direct light and indirect light). Seen as a whole, it creates a volumetric spherical effect of shading on the wall, where each link also represents the passage of time from the full moon to the lunar eclipse. The work uses technology and lights to visualize when time itself was demarcated by the movement of physical, celestial objects.
