“Disconnected” immediately disrupts the viewers sense of reality as an extension cable is forced into the wall next to an electrical socket, however with its lightbulb still working. It describes a shift from reality while commenting on the idea of creativity and an artist’s need to think alternatively. The lightbulb here is lit up not using the socket, but the archi- tectural space, referencing the process to create physical sculpture.
