Artist Statement:
The stylized pink magnolia bloom symbolizes joy, perseverance, and everlasting connections. I wove Magnolia Everlasting during the 2024 U.S. Presidential election season. I was energized by the prospect of our first woman President, but as voting day neared, my hopes faded, and my mood darkened. The center cross bars symbolize the somber mood and rocky times we must all endure before we can find joy again. Now, more than ever, we must focus on making connections with others to build a shared future.
