This set of five juggling balls are hand stitched from a range of fabrics in my stash. Some of them were gifted to me during the pandemic by my friend and fellow artist Lea Banko. I have used the japanese style of traditional juggling balls called Otedama to represent how we were forced into juggling so many different realities and perspectives during the last three years. This had particular relevance to me working as a therapist where I needed to put my own feelings, thoughts and opinions aside to provide a safe space for others to express their pain and perspectives.
