I painted this lakeside with our daughter Angela on a day when the sky and water were alive with shifting clouds and sunlight. The white sails caught the light as they moved across the water, and I wished I could paint every changing moment. Creating side by side made this plein air study even more meaningful—a simple, beautiful day I’ll always remember.
