Every now and again I take a chance on something that departs from the series I am working on and just follow my heart. This painting is straight from the heart. Nothing but pigment and canvas and flow of creative energy.
I was thinking about the minor frustrations of life and the enormous blessings of life, how everything tumbles together. I was thinking about how often I live brooding over the past or worrying over tomorrow when ALL WE HAVE IS NOW.
An old friend is dying. She made it through Christmas 2017 but has taken a turn for the worse. She will not see Spring. This painting was a battle with reality, striving to reach beyond what is seen into something beyond and very present.
This painting is my prayer for Sherry. My prayer for you and for me and for those we love.
