Vicky Gooch paints fine art oil paintings using techniques of the old masters and impressionists. From Rembrandt to Norman Rockwell, she studies their styles for improvement. She enjoys the challenge of discovering the traits that make each person unique and bringing them to life through the art of painting.
Even though creating artwork can be a solitary activity, the best part is the opportunity to make a connection with other people. She enjoys collaborating with clients to bring their visions, from reverent to whimsical, to life in a work of art. Vicky only uses high quality materials to create custom heirloom portraits, Vicky is available for portrait commissions.

Artist Statement
My inspirational quote is “If eyes are a window to the soul, then art is a window between souls”. My artwork is full of people doing what people do in the important or mundane times of their lives. My satisfaction comes from being able to depict something in their moments that we can all understand. Tears from a loved one, the beaming face of a parent, or a passer-by where I’m painting saying they need to “buy that painting” all tell me that I got it right.
