From the ‘Sir Joseph Banks Park series’. I regularly walk my dog in Sir Joseph Banks Park and have been watching the Ibis’ young growing in their nest. As the young chicks grew bigger and heavier, the branch was almost at breaking point as it slung lower towards the water. This area is surrounded by towering paperbarks, through which the light struggles to penetrate.
