I was born in Salford (Manchester) in the UK and moved to Australia in 1998. Since completing a BFA in Fine Arts (Honours in drawing), I continue to develop my art practice both out in the field and from my home studio. My interests lie in our physical interaction with the natural world. I believe that our essential connection with nature is diminishing in an increasingly, alienating preference for the digital platform. The immediacy of drawing is for me, a vehicle to express my physical connection with the sensorial aspects of my environment. I often blend drawing techniques into my paintings, through both the structure and mark making.
