On my latest visit to Vail, CO we came upon this view of the stream carrying snow melt runoff along the base of the slopes on the way into Vail Village. It was a beautiful spring day, but the white water was up as the ski trails gave way to verdant hillsides. The white water framed by the dark greens of the surrounding pines and firs cried out for a painting.
