There are a number of Octagonal Lighthouses on stilts throughout the Chesapeake Bay region. This one is just offshore in the Choptank River in the town of Cambridge, MD. It warns mariners of the Rt. 50 bridge as you head upstream from the Bay. A dramatic sky and strong light highlighted the already picturesque style of the Lighthouse.
