Near my home is the old Gerst Family Farm. A number of the buildings are in disrepair. Bad for the farm, but they make great subjects for paintings. I saw this old barn from the road with its missing boards and overgrowth and couldn't resist pulling over to snap a picture. I did a small version a while back, but it is such a striking subject that I felt it was time to do a big version.
