A recent painting trip to Maryland’s Eastern Shore yielded a wide range of painting subjects. This scene is a composite of two sites on Tilghman’s Island. The initial inspiration was this house sitting back deep in a Marsh that I spotted from the road. There was just a straight line of marsh with no water visible so I replanted the house in a different marsh setting near the tip of the island
