This series of paintings were in response to the plans for Jack Nicklaus to design a Golf course on the Ury Estate.
Hopefully he will be true to his word and make minimal changes to the landscape.
I tried to imagine a golf course which would respect the beauty of the surroundings yet still be unmistakably a golf course.
The golf elements of each painting are obvious but if you were to leave out the golfers and the flags you would still have a recognisable ‘Boag’ landscape.
