This is my first sculpture that stirred my love for stone carving. Although this light green alabaster piece is sold, I have added it to my gallery because this stone piece is what stirred my love for stone carving.
For a birthday celebration, my husband gifted me with a chunk of alabaster, a hammer, and some chisels. I just started chipping away with no idea what I was doing or wanted to make. To boot, this was my first sold piece! Oh, for the joy of it all. I was addicted! I was now a "stoner".
