San Francisco's Presidio is a beautiful park filled with old military housing overlooking the golden gate bridge. (Great place to walk your dog in the early hours of the weekend!) Painting in the Presidio in the morning can be tricky as there usually is a thick layer of fog. The morning started out as a chilly and windy morning, but once I started painting, it suddenly changed into a pleasant and sunny environment. As the sun broke through and lit up the houses, I quickly captured the colors of the changing light.
This painting was created on a premium gesso panel made by Jack Richeson & Co. and painted with professional oil paints. It has also been sealed with a layer of Gamsol varnish to protect and enhance the oil paint. This artwork is shipped unframed.
