Smoke from wildfires has sadly become an annual fall occurrence in the Bay area. The smoke filters the light uniquely, casting an orange glow over the landscape. This painting was done on location near Starr King Elementary school, overlooking the waters of the SF Bay. I loved the reflections on the distant buildings, which contrasted with the dark shapes of the nearby trees.
This painting was created on an archival oil primed canvas board made by RayMar. and painted with professional oil paints. It has also been sealed with a layer of Gamsol varnish to protect and enhance the oil paint. This artwork is shipped unframed.
