A Plein air study, painted on location in Point Pinole Regional Park, in Pinole CA. The summer mornings in coastal California typically can have a thick blanket of fog in the sky, creating a very overcast day. During these conditions, the inherent colors of the landscape come to the forefront, highlighting the bright greens and pinks in the scene.
The painting is on a premium gesso panel made by Jack Richeson & Co. and painted with professional oil paints. It has also been sealed with a layer of Gamsol varnish to protect and enhance the oil paint. This is shipped unframed.
