Farms and agriculture production companies cover Bakersfield and its surrounding area. I was invited to participate in an April plein-air event hosted by Bird Dog Arts. I had just realized how large the agriculture industry was in that area. As I drove through miles of farmland, I stumbled upon this dusty road that hosted many potato-processing buildings. It had rained the day before, and there was a welcome relief in these parts. Puddles were slowly evaporating, leaving a reflection of the landscape on the street.
