Adam's exploration of entrances at Ruapekapeka o Ngā Pakanga Whenua o Mua for my book 'MAORI ART' 2015 was an important precedent for my own explorations 26 years later in the research photography for ĀTĀROA when it was first shown at Mahara Gallery, Waikanae in 2021
Adam's exploration of entrances at Ruapekapeka o Ngā Pakanga Whenua o Mua for my book 'MAORI ART' 2015 was an important precedent for my own explorations 26 years later in the research photography for ĀTĀROA when it was first shown at Mahara Gallery, Waikanae in 2021. I used digital photography extensively to explore both the battle site and importantly the flora and fauna that were also part of that site.
