I often only have an inkling of an idea when I begin a painting. the process of changing a blank canvas to an idea, story, or impression seems to come from within the paint itself dictating to me how and where to apply and manipulate the media. I rarely if ever have a title before I begin. The finishing additions and marks tell me the title.
When I viewed this painting the single small light seemed to broadcast a way home like a lighthouse or blinking marker buoy. It sends a "Quite Call" just to remind me I have place to be, a place of comfort and joy that I call home.
Painted with acrylic media on canvas using silicone wedges and markers as application tools.
