In the tradition of 18th century Memento Mori paintings by the European Masters, this still life depicts a small skull, a glass tumbler and stoppered bottle embossed with the cross-botany. The title is a reference to Shakespeare's Hamlet holding Yorick's skull. Framed in a very wide coved wooden frame, painted a satin black.
