תהליך עבודה רפלקטיבי לעבודות גוף מוקדמות, בתצלומי שחור לבן משלהי שנות ה-70, מתנסח ב 'הטבעות גנטיות' כתצלום מונוכרומטי השומר על פורמט מושגי של טריפטיכון. שילוב שני נרטיבים אופיינים של 'מקום' ו' דיוקן עצמי', מתנסחים בעבודה באמצעות סימנים, צללים,הטבעות וטביעות (כדוגמת הטבעת רישום מפת ים המוות הדומה לטביעת רגל בהר). השתקפות מתומצתת לרעיון, מופיעה באופן ציורי בצד השמאלי של העבודה כחותם רישומי סימבולי. החותם הינו תרשים ממוחשב מעובד של הד.נ.א הגנטי האנושי. בצילום צל הגוף שבתנועה במים נוצרת מעין השלכה מחשבתית לתמצית המבט האישי, וסובייקט הגוף הופך לחלק ממרקם החומר הכללי, בהתאמה לתיאורו הפילוסופי של מוריס מרלו פונטי, "החידה נעוצה בכך שגופי הוא בו זמנית רואה ונראה. זה המביט בכל הדברים יכול גם להביט בעצמו ולזהות בתוך מה שהוא רואה את ה"צד האחר" של יכולת הראיה שלו".

A self-reflexive process alluding to earlier body works, b/w photographs from the late 1970s, takes shape in Genetic Imprints as a monochromatic photograph that preserves the conceptual format of a triptych. The combination of two typical narratives, "place" and "self-portrait," is manifested in the work via signs, shadows, impressions, and imprints (e.g. the impression of a drawn Dead Sea map reminiscent of a footprint on a mountain). An encapsulated reflection of this underlying concept is drawn on the left as a symbolic imprint; a manipulated computerized drawing of human DNA. In the photograph depicting the shadow of the body during movement in water, a mental projection of the essence of the personal gaze is created, and the subject of the body becomes part of the texture of the general substance, in keeping with Maurice Merleau-Ponty's philosophical description: "The enigma derives from the fact that my body simultaneously sees and is seen. That which looks at all things can also look at itself and recognize, in what it sees, the 'other side' of its power of looking."1
