This painting is coastal North Carolina in the Wanchese area. I came upon this maritime still life while looking for places to paint. It was sketched in plein aire but finished in the studio, a process that I rather enjoy.
This painting was invited to the American Society of Marine Artists show at the Lyme Art Association and Art from the Heartland in Mena Arkansas.
