Autumn Light, especially at sunset, is bright and harsh. Providing bold shadows and glowing lights, it echoes the hard work of our working man. There is plenty of work with a fishing vessel, not just working on the water, but working on the boat itself. It is no easy task to prep for bottom paint, but it helps to slow the growth of subaquatic organisms that attach to the hull as well as improve the flow of water past the hull. I enjoy painting piles and tangles of the objects often located on docks, worksites, and marinas, as well as the art of hard work. It is a challenge to simplify the shapes and capture the light in combination with capturing a behind the scenes look at a hardworking lifestyle.
