View from Narrow Cove, Ogunquit Limited Edition of 25
The reduction woodcut ‘View from Narrow Cove’ is a view looking down the channel toward Perkins Cove from behind the Ogunquit Museum of American Art. The Charles Woodbury Studio is to the left, the wooden drawbridge is in the distance, and the Perkins Cove boat ramp is to the right. The Josias River wound through the salt marsh into what was once called Fish Cove. In 1941, the Army Core Engineers dredged Fish Cove, making it a deepwater harbor called Perkins Cove.
'View from Narrow Cove, Ogunquit' is a nine-color reduction woodcut on Kozo natural Japan paper printed with oil-based lithographic inks.
