The view is from Narrow Cove in Ogunquit, Maine, looking toward Perkins Cove. The Charles Woodbury Studio is to the left, the wooden drawbridge is in the distance, and the boat ramp is to the right. The Josias River wound through the salt marsh into what was once called Fish Cove. In 1941, the salt marsh was dredged and made into a deepwater harbor, thus creating Perkins Cove and the channel to the Atlantic Ocean.
