State Pier Revisited, The Limited Edition of 14
State Pier Revisited is a reduction woodcut based on an early tempera painting that is part of a series celebrating various aspects of the working Boston waterfront, created in 1967. As the title suggests, it serves as an artistic review in the form of a complex woodcut produced 33 years after the preliminary study.
Edition no. 11/14 is available for sale, and this is the last one left in Don Gorvett's inventory. This woodcut is in the permanent collection at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, Harvard Law School, and in private collections.
