The view is from Narrow Cove looking toward Perkins Cove with the Charles Woodbury Studio to the left, the wooden drawbridge in the distance, and the boat ramp to the right. The Josias River wound through the salt marsh into what was once called Fish Cove. In 1941 the salt marsh was dredged and made into a deepwater harbor, thus creating Perkins Cove and the channel to the Atlantic Ocean.
