Study of drip method abstract painting using vibrant metallic paints. This series was a study in response to my personal feelings that a 'proper' painting shouldn't be using metallic paint. The general assumption was that it would cheapen the look or bring it's artistic value down to the 'plastic' or 'gimicky' genre.
I happily stand corrected. This series boasts a delightful mix of metallic colors that play not only with each other but with the light as well as it glints off the raised curved surfaces of drips and strings of paint.
