Michelle Colón

This painting is part of the Festival International Musician Series which combines the flowing brushwork from my original abstracts with more representational figures. The integration of the brushwork with the figures, as well as the vibrant color palette, creates an energy that is specific to this music festival. Michelle Colón is known professionally as Malentina, is a singer, songwriter, stage and film actress, burlesque performer, writer, and producer from Ponce, Puerto Rico and currently lives in Lafayette, Louisiana.
