I just wrapped up a new painting called Feather & Bloom. It’s an 18”x24” oil and mixed media piece that celebrates a little bird chilling on a flower-covered branch. I had a blast playing with the feathers—mixing browns, whites, and blacks—plus a bright yellow beak that feels just right. The branch is decked out in a chorus of pink, yellow, white, and purple blooms, all popping against a deep blue background with textured strokes that add some extra life. This one was pure fun to paint, with loose, easy brushwork letting everything flow naturally. My love for nature poured into every detail—sometimes the best inspiration is just watching the world bloom around you
